Wilkinson — Wervey Marriage

Harry Wilkinson, of West Fifth street, and Miss Theresa Wervey, of East Fourth street, surprised their many friends Wednesday evening when they went to the home of the Rev. Father F. A. Schrieber, pastor of St. Peter’s Catholic church, and were married at 7:30 o’clock, after which they went to the home of the groom’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilkinson, on West Fifth street.  While they were there some of their friends having learned of the wedding gave them a belling.  They received another belling at their home on Park avenue east later in the evening.  Mr. Wilkinson is employed at S. N. Ford & Co.’s lumber works.  Both are worthy young people and their many friends join in best wishes to them for a long and happy married life.

HEART VICTIM - Harry J. Wilkinson, 71, Was O-B Employe 33 years.

Harry J. Wilkinson, 71, employe of the Ohio Brass company for the past 33 years, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at his home, 138 Helen avenue, following a heart attack.  Born in Mansfield, Oct. 18, 1873, Mr. Wilkinson died on the first day of his summer vacation.  He was employed in the drafting room of the Ohio Brass company.  Until recently he had been affiliated with the Mansfield Civic Music association, was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America lodge and St Peter’s Catholic church.  Surviving are his widow, Teresa; one daughter, Mrs. R. M. Marshall; two sons, Edward J. and Fred E. Wilkinson; two sisters, Miss Mae Wilkinson and Mrs. G. W. Bahl, all of Mansfield; also eight grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s church, conducted by Msgr. R. C. Goebel.  Burial will be made in Mansfield Catholic cemetery.  The body is at the Geiger funeral home.

Long Illness Fatal To Mrs. Teresa Wilkinson.

Mrs. Teresa Wilkinson, 88, of 138 Helen Ave., widow of Harry Wilkinson died Friday evening at Mansfield General Hospital after an extended illness.  Born in Upper Sandusky, May 24, 1878, she has been a resident of Mansfield most of her life.  She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society Council of Catholic Women.  She is survived by two sons, Edward J., and Fred E. both of Mansfield; one daughter, Mrs Robert Marshall, with whom she made her home; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; three brothers, Fred Wervey, of Birchwood, Wis., Andrew Wervey, and L. J. Wervey, both of Mansfield; two sisters, Mrs. Louise Campbell of Galion and Miss Florence Wervey, of Mansfield.  Friends may call at the Geiger-Herlihy Funeral Home starting at noon Monday.  Funeral High Mass will be offered by Msgr. James F. Hebbeler at St. Peter’s Catholic Church Tuesday at 9 a.m.  Burial will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday evening at 8.
