MISS CATHERINE MATZ WEDS W. H. MARSHALL

Reception and Wedding Breakfast for Immediate Families Follows Ceremony

Solemnized by Rev. R. C. Goebel at High Noon.

AN ANKLE LENGTH dawn blue chiffon gown fashioned on Empire lines with a bodice and puffed sleeves and trimmed with Val ace was worn by Miss Catherine Matz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. F. Matz, 70 Helen avenue, for her wedding at high noon today, when she became the bride of William H. Marshall, Columbia avenue, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Marshall, of Piqua.  Cloud pink accessories included a silk turban with a nose length veil, slippers and lace mits.  Her arm bouquet was of Rapture roses, lilies of the valley and delphinium.  Rev. R. C. Goebel officiated for the ceremony at St. Peter’s parsonage, with relatives of the couple witnessing the services.  Miss Lucille Becker served as maid of honor.  She was attired in a pale pink lace frock with a blue satin sash and Eleanor blue accessories and carried an arm bouquet of Briarcliffe roses and blue delphinium.  Emmet Casey was best man for Mr. Marshall.  A reception and wedding breakfast for the immediate families was held at the home of the bride’s parents following the ceremony.  Appointments in a yellow and white color scheme decorated the long table at which the guests were seated for the serving of the breakfast.  Later in the afternoon, Mr. Marshall and his bride left for a motor trip to northerm points of interest.  After May 1, they will be at home to their friends in a newly furnished home at 119 Dawson avenue.  Mrs. Marshall was graduated from Mansfield high school, and attended Otterbein college, at Westerville.  Mr. Marshall was graduated from St. Mary’s high school at Piqua.  Out-of-town relatives here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Marshall and daughter, Miss Helen of Piqua, and William Flannigan, of Bellefontaine.
